WHAT TO EXPECT
We want you to be able to relax and enjoy the service so here are some things that generally happen in our services (although the order is subject to change). We also want you to know that we work hard to make sure you are not ignored or embrassed. We will never single you out and you will meet many friendly people who will be glad to serve you in any way. You don't have to worry about coming to New Life and having no one speak to you. We value every guest and look forward to meeting you.
*We are a diverse group of people with varied backgrounds. We recognize that your church background may be different; so we want to let you know what to expect during our service.
*Our celebration services are exciting and dynamic. Generally, we open our services with upbeat songs, which include joyful praise and clapping that will help take your mind off the cares of this world.
*Next we will share this weeks important announcements, followed by the offering, with a time of fellowship. The Bible tells us to bring our gifts and that is what we literally do. Ushers stand at the front and we bring our gifts (tithes and/or offerings) and put them in the baskets. After everyone has given the pastor will then pray over the gifts.
*On our way back to our seats we greet each other. Romans 16:16 says, "Greet one another with a holy kiss." We won't actually kiss you but we warmly welcome everyone with a smile, handshake or hug (whatever you are comfortable with).
*The teaching comes next which will focus on real life issues and will be presented in a way where everyone can undertstand it.
*Next we will sing some worship songs which are slower and more intimate in nature. During worship we may have a time of ministry, when you can receive prayer for any need you may have. We encourage everyone not receiving prayer to just continue worshipping with the praise team. At the close, pastor will pray a prayer of blessing over us.
